The tower was erected in 1968.  It is a section of an old WHFB broadcast tower.  It stands 80 feet tall and is set in 3 cubic yards of concrete.  It is guyed at 40 feet and again at 60 feet, with 3/8 in. steel cable.

     At the top, a Yeasu G-1000DXA rotor is mounted inside the tower 8 feet below the top.  A telescoping mast runs through a bearing in the top plate  to allow raising and lowering the antennas above the tower.  The tip of the highest antenna is 112 feet above the back yard. The antennas listed in order from top down are.

Each section is 20 ft long and weighs 200 lb. The legs are made of 2" tempered steel  pipe and cross braces are 1/2 inch rod welded at all joints.  Each face is 18 inches.
