I was born in Olena, Arkansas to Earl D. Harris Sr. and Claiaretta Jones Harris, on the 9th of September 1938. I went to a two room School in Olena my first four years. The fall of 1949 I started the 5th grade in DeWitt, Arkansas. In January of 1950, we moved to Dermott, Arkansas. I attended school there until I graduated high School in 1957
I served in the Army Security Agency in the European Theatre from 1957 thru 1960.
I worked for United Airlines in Chicago in 1961 and 1962
I started College at Arkansas A & M in the fall of 1962
